OR-101 ORIENTATION/SAFETY I
101 covers industry orientation, hand tool safety, power tool safety, and OSHA 10.

OR-102 HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
102 covers Forklift, First Aid/CPR, and Welded Frame Scaffold Erector Certifications.

C-103 FOUNDATIONS / FLATWORK
This course describes forming methods and applications for different types of foundations and flatwork in construction today. After instruction in jobsite safety, blueprint reading, and related mathematics, the student will construct formwork for the various structures. An introduction to the use of the builders level will also be covered.

C-105 TILT-UP
This course is designed to give an overview of the Tilt-up industry. Forming techniques for walls, windows and door bucks will be covered. Tilt-up hardware, hazards on raising panels, and jobsite safety will be discussed.

C-106 WALL FORMS
This course pertains to forming methods for reinforced concrete walls. Along with blueprint reading, estimating, and introduction to form design, hands-on training in single- and double-waler forming systems is included.

C-107 GANG FORMS
Many contractors use gang forms for walls and columns. Building gang form panels require blueprint reading skills. In this course the students will build a form table and a heavy timber gang form wall. Taper ties, bracing and bulkheads will also be taught.

C-108 PATENTED FORMING SYSTEMS/COLUMN FORMS
Proprietary wall forming systems such as Atlas, EFCO, and Symons are an integral part of the concrete industry. Students will be instructed in the use and rigging of the above systems, including a review of the technology presented in C-107. The forming of poured-in-place columns will be covered, with instruction and practice in both job-built and proprietary systems, and the shoring and forming of drop heads. Estimating, safety, and rigging of materials will be included.

C-111 BEAM & DECK FORMING
This course will introduce the use of various wood and patented forming systems used in the construction of concrete beams and decks. Metal beam forms and capitals will be taught in this class. Layout and builders level skills will be used in this class.

C-112 STAIRS & RAMP FORMING
This course teaches the various techniques used to form stairs and ramp structures. State and Federal building codes pertaining to stairs and ramps will be covered in this class. This class requires a calculator.

C-113 BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
This course is designed to give an overview of basic bridge construction. Abutments, exterior and interior girders, edge forms, bulkheads and hinge forms will be covered. Related safety, math and blueprint reading will be covered.

C-114 BUILDERS LEVEL AND TRANSIT
This course covers the use and applications of the builders level for establishing elevations and grades. The conventional system of measuring angles using degrees, minutes, and seconds on venier scales will be taught in the transit portion of this class.

BP-1E BLUEPRINT 1
This course is the first of two classes in blueprint reading. This course will cover such topics as construction drawings, lines and symbols, freehand sketching, and pictorial drawings. The purchase of the book “Print Reading for Construction” is necessary. The price is approximately $35.00

C-115 WELDING
This course is a two (2) week class designed to teach students the basic techniques of arc welding.
