OR-101 Orientation/Safety
This course covers industry orientation, hand tool safety, power tool safety, and OSHA 10. OR-102 Health & Safety Certifications This course covers Forklift, First Aid/CPR, and Welded Frame Scaffold Erector Certifications.

FW-103 Hand & Power Tools
This course covers the introduction to the safe use of hand and power tools used in the hardwood floor industry.

FW-104 Jobsite Preparation
Basic blueprint reading is necessary when preparing to work on the site. Hardwood types and applications will be discussed. Applicable math is covered.

FW-105 Hardwood Installation
This hands-on course is designed to allow the students to install strip and plank hardwood flooring in the most basic applications. Floor preparation, moisture content and fastening techniques are covered.

FW-106 Parquet Flooring
This creative course allows the student to design patterns and install parquet flooring. Basic drafting skills will be covered. Proper fastening techniques are taught.

FW-107 Engineered Floor Installation
New products are constantly being introduced into the industry. In this course the many types of engineered flooring and their installation are covered.

FW-108 Borders
Borders and accents are an attractive way to dress up an otherwise boring floor installation. In this course the use of different colors and textures of flooring to produce beautiful borders and accents is taught.

FW-109 Diagonal and Herringbone Floors
This course is designed to allow the students to install flooring diagonally, the most typically used pattern in housing. They will also learn the importance of delicate measurements when they install flooring in the Herringbone pattern.

FW-110 Advanced Patterns
This free form class allows the students to address the creative side of their trade. Students are encouraged to design and build their "masterpiece".

FW-111 Inlays
Inlays are a delicate part of the floor installation process. Building and using templates for cutting and routing inlays are covered in this course.

FW-112 Stairs
Stairs and moldings can be quite tricky. In this course the students will learn the proper process in covering stairs with hardwood flooring. Nosing and transition strips are also covered.

FW-113 Sanding
Sanding is a touchy process since this is one of the most important parts of producing a beautiful, long lasting finish. Power sanders and scrapers are taught in this class.

FW-114 Finishing
Staining, painting and topcoats are applied in this course. Proper health and safety is also a very important part of this class.
